Software Asset Management
Our Approach
Traditionally software license compliance has been managed internally by organizations using auditing software provided by third parties. It is not a one-off job and to keep on top of it requires procedures and processes to be maintained and followed. This places substantial pressure on internal resources.
Liken understand this. There is no point you paying for expensive tools and then finding that you do not have the resources to use them effectively, or worse still, that they do not do everything quite as effectively as you were led to believe in the first place.
At Liken we do the work. Our e-link software is free; it is our knowledge, expertise and ability to keep you informed of your licensing position that you pay your subscription for.
Our e-link software works entirely in the background, using negligible system resources. The data is then compressed, to minimise impact on your network, and automatically transferred to a designated central server before being sent to us for processing.
Crucially, all of the processing and the manual work is done by us - not by you.
Effective IT management requires a combination of people, processes and the right technology.
Software asset management is no exception and projects in this arena often fail due to a simple reality: SAM tools require a higher than expected amount of administrative resource in order to fully deliver.
Our services were originally developed to address the 'pain points' of SAM being felt by institutions in the financial sector.
Through a process of continuous improvement we have integrated the key points from the major SAM standards and benchmarks including the ITIL framework and the ISO/IEC 19770-1 standard.
Whatever your preferred strategy from full BPO, to meeting industry standards or simply having visibility of your software environment, we provide fixed cost, tailored service solutions to help you organisation succeed in software asset management (SAM).
We take SAM a step further by creating tailored risk reports for your organisation.
By having visibility of the software you are running we can provide confidential reports to your risk managers highlighting the areas of concern to your organisation.
